Block’Out, so much more than a climbing gym

Among the new resolutions of the year 2017, we wanted to test a climbing gym. It has been a while since we were recommended to go to Block’Out Strasbourg, so we gave it a go last Saturday and we loved it.

Block’Out, a place for beginners, but also for the more experienced ones

As absolute beginners, we were a bit apprehensive at first. Nonetheless the Block’Out team reassured us from the beginning. They took the time to explain the basics of climbing and the safety instructions and we were supervised and coached when needed. We started by testing the easiest areas (the yellow area) and we immediately got the taste of it! We really recommend testing this activity with your relatives because it gives participants a common challenge and it truly brings people together. We really enjoyed the experience and what we really find impressive is the fact that when you sign up for a session, there is no time limit. The gym is suitable for all levels and despite the influx of visitors on Saturday, we were able to climb as much time as we wanted. Therefore, we stayed for 5 hours and we really did not see the time pass.

Block’Out, a place with a diverse offer

Coming to the gym, we were pleasantly surprised by the offer. During your stay you can enjoy:

  • climbing walls,
  • a bodybuilding space
  • a pub,
  • a sauna and a steam room,

If you come here for an introduction course but you realize along the way that you do not like climbing, you can always try another activity! It’s awesome ! As for those who wonder about the food that is served here, do not worry. We took the time to discover their menu. If you already know the GETEATOUT team, you surely know that we are passionate food lovers. It is therefore not surprising that we wanted to test their burgers. As true burger lovers we can only say that we were unexpectedly surprised by how delicious they were. The indoor bar also offers a wide choice of beer, including the famous Red is Dead of the Sainte Cru Brewery. We will come again soon to test the menu of the day on weekdays. In case you wonder why, well, we were told it is freshly and thoughtfully prepared by a real chef so we clearly do not want to miss the experience.

In short, Block’Out offers a truly unique experience for a day out of the ordinary. We really recommend it!
