Le Bocal, go Zero Waste!
Have you ever payed attention to the huge amount of packings you throw away after you did your groceries in a supermarket? As far as we are concerned, we get more and more tired of that, which is why we are delighted that Le Bocal opened this year at La Krutenau. Now let us explain why you soon will shop there.
A bulk goods concept
At GetEatOut, we tend to adopt 0-waste, and Le Bocal really helps here. This grocery store is based on bulk goods. It is very simple, you take your own containers, glass jars, paper or cloth bags, and fill them with dry products: seeds, spices, candies, gluten-free flours, oils or detergent. Piece of cake! Wonderful, isn’t it? And let’s be honest, glass jars are vintage, and they will look perfect in your renovated kitchen. Two words: Green and Trendy!
One place, four steps
For a 0-Waste shopping, you will need to:
- FIND a container: you can bring your own or use those of the shop
- WEIGH: first your container, then mark its weight on it with a felt
- FILL it: just help yourself 😉
- PAY: of course you will still have to pass through it, but for once, you will only get and pay what you need, no more.
Le Bocal, a rich and diversified range of product
This cute new little shop looks like a market and is a really good place where to find lots of spices, cereals, starches… Plus, if you go deeper, you will find drinks, wine and cosmetics, all ecological and 0-waste. It is important to note that you can track where the products are from, which matters to us, right?
So what do you think? Are you planning to try bulk shops, go 0-Waste? We personally added it to our shopping routine. For those living in Neudorf, you can find another bulk shop: Day by Day (link), Place du Marché.
