Right by the cathedral, Bistrot et Chocolat has become our stronghold for a gourmet stopover. This intimate place reveals itself as one of our best spots to have a snack or brunch.

100% foodie and gourmand

Who said that healthy eating was linked with restrictions? Not us, and especially not Yoann Abitol, creator of Bistrot et Chocolat. For the head chef, eating vegetarian and organic foods rhymes with glamor and the love of good food. The menu is varied and hearty brunches are proposed during the weekends. The products are carefully selected to their taste and qualities, overall the supply is 40% organic. The house offers a wide choice of fruit juices (peach-apricot, cherry, orange, carrot, apple or mango) and hot drinks (espresso, tea from the firm Jardins de Gaia, organic or natural wines, traditional hot chocolate).

The pleasure of a ‘gluten free’ cooking

The core concept opens the possibility to come and snack anytime, whether you prefer nibble salty or sweet foods. On the salty side, you will dishes such as fried eggs cooked in maple syrup, sliced deli meats, pan-fried vegetarian sausages, etc. On the other hand, regarding the sweet side, there is something for everyone: fresh fruit salads, farm yogurts, aged cheeses ripened with pear, cookies or honey and seeds…
Apart from eating small bites when you are a lil’ bit hungry, it is also possible to eat for lunch and dinner. Dishes of the day are proposed from Monday to Friday and elaborated by the chef according to his findings at the vegetables market. The salty menu is composed with starters and dishes.

Quality and product services

The interior of this Alsatian building welcomes warmly when it’s cold outside, and for beautiful days you also enjoy the terrace. Chocolate lovers will make this place their canteen because they will find just right there their happiness. The employees are passionate and it’s a real plus! You will come there as well for lunch or for dinner; the menu made from fresh products is varied and flexible according to the seasons. Bistrot et Chocolat do not forget the little ‘gourmands’: cooking workshops for children are proposed once a month. A tea room, a restaurant, delicatessen inspired products available for sale: chocolate bars, wines, syrups, flavored cocoas, flavored vinegars, spreads or filled baskets… In short, you will understand, we highly recommend you this address!
