Le Stras, a restaurant with a creative menu
On a special night out, we were looking for a restaurant in the historical district of Petite France to thank some friends. After a little investigation on Trip Advisor and La Fourchette we discovered Le Stras. And what a great discovery it was!
A reference in the heart of the Petite France
Le Stras is ideally nestled 9 rue des Dentelles, in the heart of the Petite France; district much appreciated not only by the tourists but also by the locals. The restaurant offers two atmospheres. A ground floor with a sophisticated decoration with a mezzanine made of stone and beams. We love the ingenious blend of Alsatian modernity and tradition.
Le Stras, an ever-changing menu with each season
The chef takes you on a journey to discover a menu that changes with every season. Always looking for quality cuisine, it is inspired by fresh vegetables directly picked from the garden carefully harmonized with meats and fish. We opted for a butternut velouté as a starter, a skewer of Saint Jacques with chorizo and morel, a plate of different types of cheese and to finish, a gourmet coffee. We absolutely loved all the food from the first bite to the last one. Being a bit greedy, we found the dishes a little “light” but it is often the case in high-end restaurants.
Editors’ tip for a full stomach and a light bill
Because we are not stingy in good deals, here’s another one. When you test Le Stras you are strongly advised to book on the site La Fourchette. You will enjoy -30% on the menu. If you don’t book, the addition will be around 44€ for entrée-main course-dessert. So don’t hesitate and discover Le Stras, a culinary journey in the heart of the Petite France.
